We all have taken field trips in grade school or during summer camps, but I’m pretty sure you’ve never experienced one quite like this! The Chicago Chapter of Barley’s Angels is excited to head into a fall season of fun beer drinking with a field trip to Penrose Brewing in Geneva, IL on Monday, September 22nd, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.! **For this special event, are encouraging Barley’s Angels to invite their male, beer drinking buddies, as well (they shouldn’t have to miss out on the fun ALL the time!)

Due the location of Penrose Brewing, event ticket holders will be responsible for getting to Geneva. We have included the Metra schedule below—we figured this would be the easiest (and most fun!) way to arrive at our destination (think Barley’s Angels on a train…with beer). Once everyone has their Metra tickets, we can coordinate via Facebook who is riding which Metra train, grab a couple 6-packs and get the party started!

Metra Schedule from Ogilvy Station to Geneva:
Departs: 5:04 p.m. Arrives: 5:47 p.m.
Departs: 5:19 p.m. Arrives: 6:25 p.m.
Departs: 5:34 p.m. Arrives: 6:35 p.m.

Once we arrive at the Geneva Metra stop, it is just less than a one-mile walk. The event at Penrose will begin precisely at 7 p.m. where guests will enjoy a private tour of the brewery, Q&A with the Penrose team (including Christina Canto, female brewer) and a guided tasting of the delicious brews. The brewers will be mix ‘n minglin’ & raising a glass all evening with us.

Complete with sandwiches and, of course, lots of tasty brews.

For those taking the train back, we will need to catch the 9:37 p.m. train to arrive back in the city at 10:46 p.m.

$12 per person and available at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/846607.
